The main objective of EEA and Norwegian grants (also BG FTA) is to enhance bilateral relations and to link up actors on the part of the recipient and the donor, in order to foster an exchange of ideas, expertise, and know-how.
International cooperation in the non-profit sector is important primarily in order to foster long-term social and economic progress. New things are learned through the sharing of resources, ideas, expertise, and experience. By supporting partner projects, a whole number of new locales and options for a bilateral dialogue and cooperation are created.
The overall objective of the project is to deepen partnership by supporting cooperation between Czech and Norwegian NGOs. Support and development of partnerships contributes to the exchange of best practices, allows for the development of tools for long-term sustainable bilateral cooperation, and offers an insight into Czech and Norwegian experience from the non-profit sector.
NROS, in cooperation with the Norwegian Helsinki Committee will act as the contact place for Czech and Norwegian non-profit organisations looking for partners for joint projects. In that sense, both organisations will take part in the project “Road to Cooperation – Development of a Czech-Norwegian Partnership”. Purpose of the project is ensuring provision of better support for the partnership of Czech and Norwegian NGOs through creation of databases of Czech and Norwegian organisations which will simplify the initiation of possible cooperation and make for more efficient and simpler communication with potential partners. Also, an information web portal will be created in three languages (Czech, Norwegian, and English) that will contain detailed information about the NGOs active in the same areas as organisations from the donor countries, and it will serve as a directional indicator for all information from the cooperating NGOs and the EEA and Norwegian financial mechanisms. At the end, study visits and seminars for the representatives of Czech and Norwegian NGOs will be organized, both in the Czech Republic and in Norway.
